New exploit fools users into thinking their hacked iPhone is safe

Jamf Threat Labs has highlighted a technique that makes iPhones appear to be in lockdown mode when they are not, tricking users into a false sense of security. This manipulation is not a flaw in iPhone security or lockdown mode but is only possible when a phone has already been infected with malware. Jamf aimed to highlight that lockdown mode, while it reduces the attack surface, is not an anti-malware tool.
