New macOS Malware “Cthulhu Stealer” Targets Apple Users’ Data

Cybersecurity researchers have discovered a new malware called Cthulhu Stealer, which targets Apple’s macOS to steal a range of information. Available as a service for $500 per month since 2023, the malware impersonates legitimate software and prompts users to enter system and MetaMask passwords. It can also steal system information, web browser cookies, Telegram account details and iCloud Keychain passwords. Despite increased threats, Apple has updated its macOS platform to enhance security measures.
