New resource to inform policy, action on antimicrobial resistance

The CSIRO has launched an online resource to tackle the increasing death rate and economic burden from antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Australia. The AMR Action and Insights portal offers evidence-based information to reduce AMR’s impact on human, animal and environmental health. The initiative seeks to unite knowledge across different sectors and remove misconceptions about AMR. Australia reports over 1,600 AMR-related deaths annually, while the global figure stands at 1.27 million.
