New SecuriDropper Malware Bypasses Android 13 Restrictions, Disguised as Legitimate Applications
Fraud protection company ThreatFabric has uncovered a new malware, SecuriDropper, which can bypass security measures on Android 13. The malware tricks the system into considering an app’s installation as coming from the Google Play Store, when in reality it is not. SecuriDropper uses the same installation method as legitimate software from the Play Store and can install other malware onto infected devices. To protect against this, organizations are advised to use mobile device management solutions and restrict app installation on employees’ Android devices.
