New Study Reveals the Crypto Search Terms and URLs Most Likely to Contain Malware

Cryptocurrency research platform CoinKickOff analysed over 28,000 URLs to understand which crypto-related search terms most commonly lead to malware or security risks. The study found the highest number of potential malware links were linked to search results for the Stellar cryptocurrency. Cybercriminals were also found to hide malware in URLs for popular crypto wallets and poorly regulated non-fungible tokens. The research also suggests that cyber threats are present among contents related to crypto exchanges and mining.
