Newly discovered Android malware has infected thousands of devices
Android streaming boxes nicknamed T95 and other similar low-cost knock-offs have been found to be shipped with pre-installed malware, notably two specific Trojan horses called Badbox and Peachpit. These Trojans are linked to ad fraud, creating fictitious email and messaging accounts, and installing further malicious codes. Currently, 200 different models could potentially be affected. Avoiding such devices and only installing necessary apps can reduce the risk of exposure to these threats.
