NHS 111 expects delays after cyber-attack causes system outage | NHS

A cyber attack on the NHS 111 service has led to major delays and disruptions. The outage, called “significant”, “major”, and “far reaching” by the Welsh ambulance service, is affecting various services across the UK, including patient referrals, out-of-hours appointments, and emergency prescriptions. Cybercriminals are suspected to be behind the attack. The National Crime Agency is working with digital services firm Advanced to address the issue.
