Wavelength CEO Tim Leech argued that the move to online systems for healthcare is discriminatory against those who aren’t tech-savvy including the elderly, non-English speakers, and those with cognitive issues whose health may be put at risk. Age UK also voiced concerns over digital exclusion’s effects on treatment rates and the disempowering impact of remote healthcare for those with sensory and cognitive impairments.
