NHS appeals for specific blood donors after cyber attack – How to figure out your blood type

The NHS has called for blood donors, particularly those with O type blood, following a ransomware attack on the pathology partner servicing some of London’s largest hospitals. The cyber attack affected the speed at which patients could be matched with suitable donor blood. Blood and Transplant are urging O- and O+ donors in London to give blood at one of the 25 donor centres but are also calling on donors of any type to help replenish stocks.
