NHS at risk of further major cyberattacks this year, experts warn

Healthcare providers in the UK are at increased risk of cyberattacks as they contend with a major outage, warn cybersecurity experts. Providers are already experiencing over 700 attacks a week, and this is likely to rise due a growing reliance on cloud and IT services post Covid-19 as attacks on healthcare organisations globally have risen 90% in the past three months. A large-scale cyberattack on NHS supplier Advanced has caused widespread disruption to NHS 111 services and GP out-of-hours services.
