NHS board warns patients of further data leak two weeks after cyber attack

NHS Dumfries and Galloway has alerted patients that more of their personal information could be exposed following a major cyber attack that saw significant confidential data stolen. The breach, perpetrated by an operation called INC Ransom, has already seen a “proof pack” of personal data shared, and the health board’s chief executive, Julie White, has warned of further leaks. The public have been advised to carefully monitor their data and report any suspicious activity to Police Scotland.
