NHS Covid-19 app to close down on 27 April following decline in users

The NHS Covid-19 app will be discontinued on April 27, 2023 due to a decrease in active users, according to the UK Health Security Agency. All app features will function until the closure date and thereafter remain a tool to provide proof of vaccination for international travel requirements. Since launching in September 2020, the app has reportedly prevented a million cases, 44,000 hospitalisations and saved around 9,600 lives.
