NHS cyber attack causes cancellations as London hospitals hit by ‘major IT incident’

A major cyber attack, allegedly involving ransomware, has hit several London NHS hospitals including King’s College, the Royal Brompton and Evelina London Children’s Hospital. Consequently, many procedures have been cancelled or moved to other providers, while several departments have experienced disrupted connections to the main server. Blood tests and transfusions have been particularly impacted, causing delays to urgent and emergency care.
