NHS cyber attack causing chaos in London hits other hospitals in UK

A serious ransomware attack on pathology provider Synnovis has severely disrupted many London-based NHS trusts, including Guy’s and St Thomas’s and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The Russian cybercrime group Qilin is suspected of being behind the attack, which has affected crucial medical testing services. Other hospitals across the UK that use Synnovis’s services, including Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, should be minimally impacted.
