A week after the global ransomware attack, NHS trusts in the UK continue to experience IT disruption despite the cessation of ambulance diversion to indisposed hospitals. French researchers have determined some infected Window computers can be decrypted without making payment to the attackers. However, Matthieu Suiche, a hacker collaborating with them said the method only works if the machine has not been rebooted and the computer memory hasn’t been reused.
