NHS cyber attack data taken from Synnovis system, provider confirms

Synnovis, a firm managing blood tests for the NHS, was targeted in a cyber attack by Russian group Qilin on June 3. The attackers published the stolen data online, impacting hundreds of operations and appointments. While an entire database was reportedly not published, investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of the breach. Almost 400GB of data including patient details and financial transactions was shared by Qilin on the darknet and Telegram.
