NHS cyber attack data taken from Synnovis system, provider confirms

Synnovis, a company that manages blood tests for the NHS, was victim to a cyber attack reportedly carried out by Russian group Qilin. NHS England stated hundreds of operations and appointments were cancelled as a result. There is currently no evidence an entire database was published online, but some patient and financial data was released. It may take weeks to determine who was affected. Hospital operations and outpatient appointments have experienced delays and rescheduling.
