NHS cyber attack data taken from Synnovis system, provider confirms
Synnovis, which manages blood tests for NHS trusts in the UK, suffered a ransomware attack suspected to be executed by Russian cyber criminals Qilin. Although NHS England said no complete database was published, hundreds of operations and appointments were cancelled in the aftermath. Personal patient information, financial arrangements, and blood tests were released online by the hackers and investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the breach.
