NHS cyber attack data taken from Synnovis system, provider confirms

NHS England has confirmed that data from a cyber attack on Synnovis was from the service. Synnovis, which manages blood tests for the NHS, experienced an attack believed to be by Russian group Qilin. Some data was published online, leading to hundreds of cancelled operations and appointments. It may be weeks before the full extent of individuals affected by the attack is known. Investigations by Synnovis and the National Crime Agency are ongoing.
