A cyber attack on Synnovis, a UK-based healthcare services provider, allegedly by Russian group Qilin, led to the release of patient data. While NHS England confirmed some data had been extracted and published online, it said there was no evidence of the entire database being exposed, but it would take weeks to ascertain those affected. As a result, hundreds of operations and appointments were cancelled, with more expected.
