NHS cyber attack data taken from Synnovis system, provider confirms
Synnovis, a firm managing blood tests primarily in southeast London, suffered a cyberattack on 3rd June, allegedly by Russian group Qilin. The stolen data was subsequently published online, leading to hundreds of operations and appointments being cancelled. NHS England is now working with the company and the National Crime Agency to determine the scale of the data theft, which reportedly includes patient names, birth dates and descriptions of blood tests.
