NHS cyber attack data taken from Synnovis system, provider confirms
Synnovis, a firm managing blood tests for NHS trusts, was targeted by a Russian cyber group that published stolen data online. The June 3 attack resulted in hundreds of operations and appointments being cancelled. It is not yet clear which individuals were affected. The published data, reportedly including patient names and blood tests among other types, was taken from some systems but not from the core database where patient results are stored.
