NHS cyber attack data taken from Synnovis system, provider confirms

Synnovis, a firm managing blood tests for NHS trusts, was subject to a cyber attack by a group reportedly from Russia on June 3. Hundreds of operations and appointments have had to be cancelled. An estimated 400GB of data, including patient names, birth dates, and test descriptions, were shared online. There is no evidence yet that the entire database was published, but investigations are ongoing to understand the full impact.
