NHS cyber attack: Doctor who predicted hack says scale makes him ‘worry about who is behind it’ | The Independent

Dozens of NHS trusts in the UK have had their operations disrupted by a cyber attack that not only targeted hospitals in the UK, but also in Asia and elsewhere in Europe. Dr Krishna Chinthapalli, a neurology registrar at a London hospital, had predicted such an attack. Hospitals are described as “ideal victims” of cyber attacks, with a third of NHS trusts admitting to being hacked. A lack of access to patient information has severely affected doctors’ ability to work.
