NHS cyber-attack fears return as all tested trusts fail assessments

No NHS trusts have passed cybersecurity inspections amid concerns that they remain vulnerable to a WannaCry-like assault, according to NHS Digital. Out of 200 trusts tested, none met the required criteria. Speaking at a public accounts committee meeting, Rob Shaw, NHS Digital deputy chief executive, admitted that much work needs to be performed to reach “cyber essentials plus standard”. Only 90 trusts had been assessed prior to the WannaCry ransomware attack.
