NHS cyber attack: Man’s life-saving heart surgery cancelled by London hospital after Synnovis hack

A major cyber attack on the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) has led to the cancellation of surgical procedures, including a potentially life-saving operation for 81-year-old heart patient Russell Ashley-Smith. A ransomware attack targeted London-based NHS hospitals, resulting in the cancellation of more than 200 surgical procedures, with the NHS admitting system recovery could take months.
