A second wave of ransomware attacks following Friday’s global cyber assault has not hit the NHS, according to Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt. However, 16 out of 47 trusts affected are still having issues. Routine surgeries and GP appointments have been cancelled as the NHS recovers. The Lister Hospital in Hertfordshire and Broomfield Hospital in Essex continue to divert patients from A&E departments. Hunt praised the “encouraging signs” from the lack of a fresh attack.
