NHS cyber attack sees more than 1,500 operations and appointments cancelled in London
A cyberattack that is thought to have been orchestrated by a Russian group called Qilin on a pathology firm has caused around 1,500 operations and appointments to be cancelled in a week at two London NHS trusts, King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas. There will be further disruption while systems are restored; services impacted include routine blood tests at GPs in south and south-east London.
