NHS cyber attack sees more than 1,500 operations and appointments cancelled in London
Over 1,500 operations and medical appointments at two London NHS trusts have been cancelled owing to a cyberattack launched by Russian group Qilin on pathology firm Synnovis. A significant reduction in the number of tests processable led to the cancellation of 800 planned operations and 700 outpatient appointments affecting treatment, including 97 cancer treatments and 814 elective procedures. Technical recovery will take time, with ongoing disruptions expected in the coming months.
