NHS England is investigating claims that a cybercriminal group has published sensitive patient data stolen from healthcare firm Synnovis. The group, thought to be Russian, carried out a ransomware attack on Synnovis on 3 June, impacting 320 planned operations and 1,294 outpatient appointments. Financial arrangements data between hospitals, GP services and Synnovis was also released. NHS England is establishing a helpline for patients worried about the data breach.
