NHS cyber attack: Surrey hospitals unaffected by ‘ransomware’ sting but pledge to remain vigilant after huge breach

Major hospitals across the UK have pledged to remain vigilant to the threat posed by malware after Britain’s National Health Service (NHS) fell victim to an international cyber attack on 12 May. The NHS was hit by a ransomware attack that affected 45 NHS organisations, including 22 hospitals. Hospitals are expected to modernise their platforms to protect themselves from similar future attacks.
