NHS Digital signs deal with Microsoft to boost protection against cyber attacks

NHS Digital has accessed Microsoft’s Enterprise Threat Detection Service in a bid to improve its cyber security following the ransomware attack of 2017. It provides high-level alerts and advice on potential threats and can detect issues within individual systems and devices, with the potential to be deployed on up to 1.5 million devices. An independent investigation previously revealed the ransomware attack could have been prevented with basic security measures.
