NHS Dumfries and Galloway hit by cyber attack

NHS Dumfries and Galloway, a Scottish health board, has suffered a “focused and ongoing” cyber attack, with the potential for a “significant quantity” of patient and staff data to have been accessed. The board is working with the National Cyber Security Agency, Scottish government and Police Scotland in attempts to manage the incident, warning that this breach may result in service disruption.
