NHS Dumfries and Galloway hit by “focused and ongoing” cyber attack

NHS Dumfries and Galloway has stated it is the victim of an ongoing cyber attack where a significant quantity of patient and staff data may have been accessed. The health board is working with the Scottish Government, the National Cyber Security Centre and Police Scotland as they investigate the extent of the breach. The board has warned that services may be affected.
