NHS England confirm patient data stolen in cyber attack

Russian cyber-criminal group Qilin stole patient data from UK’s NHS England that was managed by Synnovis. The hackers shared nearly 400GB of the data on their darknet site in an attempt to extort Synnovis. The stolen data included patient names, DOBs, NHS numbers, and blood test descriptions. Over 3,000 hospital and GP appointments were disrupted due to the attack. NHS England stated there is no evidence that the test results have been published.
