NHS England reports GP data breach after Capita cyber-attack

A cyber-attack on Capita has led to a data breach of NHS information. Capita initially said no customer, supplier or employee data had been compromised, but in May admitted some had been exfiltrated. It expects costs associated with the attack to reach as much as £20m ($26m). The Information Commissioner’s Office has urged organisations using Capita services to check whether their data has been affected, and 90 bodies, including NHS England, have reported breaches.
