NHS hack has had ‘minimal’ impact on services, says Scotland’s Health Secretary

A large amount of potentially identifiable patient and staff data may have been compromised due to a cyber attack on the Scottish health board. The Scottish Government, Police Scotland, and the National Cyber Security Centre were called in over the incident, which Health Secretary Neil Gray said had minimal impact on patient services but necessitated some changes to staff work practices. It is unknown what data was taken and how it will be used.
