The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) is unprepared for a significant cyberattack and needs to prioritise improvements to security, according to the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee (PAC). The committee also warned that UK and US security chiefs claimed hackers from Russia were targeting international devices to try to undermine areas such as internet service providers and the NHS. The PAC added that not a single trust had passed NHS cybersecurity testing. It follows the shutdown last year of operations due to the WannaCry attack.
