NHS hack warning issued to everyone in Dumfries and Galloway

NHS Dumfries and Galloway has warned residents to assume their data may have been published following a major hack by a ransomware group in February. The attack resulted in the publication of patient files online, including children’s mental health data, after the NHS failed to meet the group’s demands. The NHS will contact “high risk” patients individually and urged everyone to stay alert for potential attempts to access their system.
