NHS Highland apologises to patients affected by data breach

NHS Highland has apologised to affected patients after the medical files of 19 individuals were left outside an unnamed hospital. This latest breach has triggered new concerns, as it follows a series of 9,500 previous data breaches across NHS Scotland in four years. Increasing incidences have been reported, with 3,139 breaches occurring in 2021.
