A ransomware attack on pathology service provider Synnovis has impaired major London hospitals’ ability to swiftly match patient’s blood types. This slow-down has hit blood transfusions at Guy’s St Thomas’, King College Hospital and the Royal Brompton. As a result, NHS Blood and Transport has urged O-Positive and O-Negative donors to give blood at one of London’s 25 donor centres.
