NHS Launch Blood Donor Appeal Following Cyber Attack

NHS England’s top doctor urges O type blood donors to urgently donate at one of the 25 NHS Blood Donor Centres to restore stock affected by the London cyber incident. With limited ability to match patient blood types, hospitals are resorting to O type blood, universally safe for all patients. This comes after revelations this week that hospitals require three blood donations per minute.
