NHS Orkney sorry after records accessed inappropriately

NHS Orkney has disclosed a data breach affecting patients in Stronsay, possibly caused by inappropriate access by a staff member who no longer works there. Health officials have apologised and the incident has been reported to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Although they saw three breaches in 2020, Orkney Health and Management insists there is no evidence of data being amended, downloaded, removed, or forwarded.
