NHS Orkney sorry after records accessed inappropriately

A data breach at NHS Orkney has impacted patients in Stronsay, following inappropriate access of records by a former staff member. This is not the first data breach at the health board, with three occurring in less than two months in 2020. Officials have apologised and applied additional data protection measures, including staff training. The matter has been reported to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
