NHS Ransomware Hack: 1,500 Medical Appointments Rescheduled
Two London hospitals have had to reschedule 1,500 medical appointments following a ransomware attack on key NHS IT vendor, Synovia. The attack has significantly disrupted operations at NHS King’s College and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ hospitals, including critical cancer treatments and organ transplant surgeries. Synovia is focussed on system recovery, but the complete restoration is expected to take months.
