NHS recovering key services after attack on supplier

UK’s National Health Service (NHS) bodies are restoring services after a cyberattack on software supplier Advanced affected the 111 emergency advice line, and caused disruptions to ambulance dispatch, emergency prescriptions, and patient referrals. The attack was reportedly identified and contained early enough to only affect a small portion of the health and care infrastructure. However, it significantly impacted the NHS as Advanced software accounts for 85% of NHS 111 services.
