NHS recovering key services after attack on supplier

NHS services in the UK are still recovering from a cyber attack that hit a supplier of the 111 emergency advice line and caused widespread disruption. The attack on Advanced Software began on 4 August and predominantly impacted Adastra, a patient management software that supports most of the NHS’s 111 services. While the nature of the attack is unconfirmed, it has the characteristics of a ransomware attack.
