NHS Scotland hit by ‘ongoing’ cyber attack amid fears hackers have stolen patients’ personal data

Scottish health board NHS Dumfries and Galloway has been targeted by hackers who may have accessed confidential patient details. The incident is believed to be a “focused” cyber attack, currently being investigated by Police Scotland, the National Cyber Security Centre, and the Scottish Government. The health board has warned staff and patients to be vigilant for further breaches.
