NHS to bolster cybersecurity following Russian invasion of Ukraine

NHS organisations have been advised to bolster their cyber defences following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. NHS England’s COO, Sir David Sloman, encouraged trusts to ensure IT systems are secure and backed up. The move follows warnings by the NCSC about a historical pattern of cyberattacks on Ukraine with international repercussions, and advice from the defence staff chief that the UK should anticipate potential cyberattacks from Russia due to its support for Ukraine.
