NHS trust ‘failed to act’ on CQC inspections before patient deaths, court told
The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust admitted to safety failings that caused the deaths of two sepsis patients at Russells Hall Hospital, following warnings from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) about standards of care and treatment. The two victims, Natalie Billingham and Kaysie-Jane Robinson, died in early 2018 due to sepsis after ineffective treatment. The trust pleaded guilty to breaches of the 2008 Health and Social Care Act.
